Highlights:
  • 1996 : The Daily Show premieres on July 11th, 1996. 
  • 1997: Stephen Colbert joins The Daily Show. He is called "the new guy" until 1998, maybe?
  • 1997: Lizz Winstead gets mad at Craig over a sexual comment he made about her in a magazine. She leaves. Craig was suspended for a few days, and the correspondents hosted for him. 
  • 1998 : Mo Rocca and Stacey Grenrock-Woods (then known as just "Stacey Grenrock") join The Daily Show as "contributors". 
  • December 18, 1998 : Craig Kilborn leaves The Daily Show, Brian Unger and A. Whitney Brown leave too.
