I wrote this on December 15th, but it didn't publish, and then I got sick and I wasn't online for a few days because I too, got sick

Dear Jon:

I know you've been sick the last few days--you're two days shy of sounding like Kim Carnes, or that time on Mystery Science Theater 3000 when Crow, Servo and Magic Voice started to do impressions of the best throaty voiced actresses and actors. Maybe in some way John Edwards is getting back at you for that time you made fun of him when he was losing his voice before the New Hampshire primaries. I don't know how he would do this, but it might be possible.

Why don't you take this last night of Chanukah off, and let Colbert or Helms take over so you'll be nice and rested up for the last Daily Show of 2004--Thursday Decmber 16th.

As anyone who reads this knows, I don't lurk around TDS boards anymore, but I was a little curious how people are taking this low key week of TDS (and of course they're not taking it well since TDS isn't talking about politics for the entire 22 minutes of the show), and I found this image posted by someone from the January 2004 issue of Vanity Fair:
