About
Contact:
If you have any questions, you can
always e-mail me at anitasdailyshowpage@hotmail.com. (make sure to replace
the "AT" with "@", and if you use AOL mail controls to add
me to your list so I can write back to you. But before you e-mail me, keep this in mind:
I can't make video clips of segments. I don't have the equipment, space or high-speed internet connection to do so.
I can't make dubs of my TDS tapes. They just wouldn't' look/sound nice dubbed. (I've tried)
Don't e-mail me about how a certain interview offended you, or try to get my political insight on something. I never watch the interviews, I'm usually like brushing my teeth, or e-mailing people during the interview.
Why This Site Is Here:
In July of 2000, the only Daily
Show sites out there were old sites that hadn't been updated since Craig's days
or Jon's first month on TDS. I had made a Vance
DeGeneres site in March of 2000, and I wanted to do a Daily Show site. I
didn't have much at first. I didn't have my win tv yet, so I couldn't make
screen caps, so I just had to use images that I had found on the internet, or
random screen caps Chaney made me. The only screen caps I could make was with
this site called "What's on Comedy Central right now?" (it no longer
works, but it was similar to this
site), and they weren't that pretty
looking (they are no longer on this site). By 2003; I had made three other
sites (and a Greg Proops site that failed miserably, but that's beyond the
point); Living Room w/out a TV, which is basically site of screen caps that I
have made from "silly" tapes that I had found/friends have given me, Ed Helms [a
project]; a site about correspondent Ed Helms, and Anita's
Daily Show Page...in words! which is a transcripts/quotes site. I don't think I'm
going to be making any other sites though. I think I've done enough.
Why Did You Name The Page
"Anita's Daily Show Page" ?
When I first
"unveiled" the site to friends in July of 2000, it didn't have a
title, I just put "Daily Show" as the title. One of my friends who had
a Jon Stewart site put the site on her links page as "Anita's Daily Show
Page" and the name just stuck.
How Long Have You Been Watching Daily Show?
Since around 1997. I used to watch it when Comedy Central would show TDS' on the weekend for an hour. I used to only watch the show primarily for "five questions", and I would just clean my room or something during the rest of the show. I stopped watching in early 1999 when Comedy Central stopped showing TDS on the weekends, and then I "found" TDS again during a snow day in 2000. I've been hooked since. I think I've only missed four episodes since late January, 2000. I've been taping the show since August of 2000 when TDS went to the DNC conventions in Los Angeles. I've been taping since.
Why Can't We Take Your Screen Captures?
I wish I didn't have to do this, but I have to put a no-right-click code on the site because people were taking just too many screen caps, and putting them on their sites, and not linking back to me. If you want some to print up and put in your journal, or one to put on your weblog, simply e-mail me, and I'll e-mail you the picture you want. They'll be the size that they are on the site, b/c I no longer have most of my screen caps in 320x240 anymore.
How Much Time Do You Spend On The Sites?
On average about 2 hours a week. Either making screen caps, working on a new design, or making transcripts.
Transcripts:
Requests?
I have tapes from August, 2000 - present date. I also have some 1999/early 2000
stuff that I can transcribe. (I don't make tapes for people, I don't have
the utilities)
Things I can't transcribe:
-An entire episode.
-Celb. Interviews (I rarely record them)
-Women's Health With Vance DeGeneres segments. (I'm not going to risk it..)
-Anything that's like 8 or more minutes. All that writing! Ack! My hands!
So, What Do You Do?
Its' better to
just look at my blogger profile. I update that a lot:

Favorite Correspondents?
(in this order)
Vance DeGeneres
Ed Helms
Rob Corddry
Mo Rocca
I love everyone else the same after that.
Would You Like To Be A
Correspondent?
Nope. I'm not that funny.
Have You Ever Been To a TDS
Taping?
Nope. I did go to New York once in Feb. of
2001 on a school trip, and I told Vance DeGeneres about it, and he said that
maybe he could give my sister and I tour (I was 17 at the time, so I couldn't go
to an actual taping), but our trip was on a weekend, and so I couldn't.
In Your Years Of Being a Daily Show Fan; What Was Your Most Embarrassing Moment of Being A TDS Fan?
Two things:
I cried when I found out that Vance DeGeneres was leaving the show.
It's still hard for me to watch the first month of Daily Show that was done without Vance.
What Do You Watch Other Than The Daily Show?
Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, The Critic, Good Eats
Why Do Your Glasses Look Like
Ed's?
Pure coincidence. I swear. I do not try to
dress like my favorite correspondents. I swear.
