That's a very timely story, I didn't realize that the problem was as widespread
as it is.
Steve:
It really is, Jon. It's terrible with books like Harry Potter seducing a young
generation of readers. This whole reading thing could turn into a dangerious
epidemic.
Jon:
But you're reading right now.
Steve:
That's....not...true....
Jon:
I'll show you, here, come here (leads Steve to teh teleprompter) I'll
show you, you're reading a teleprompter right now. You're reading off the
teleprompter.
Steve:
No, I'm not.
Jon:
Yes! Yes you are! And I'm reaidng this (the camera cuts to the teleprompter)
See! See! See!? I'm reading words off a screen!
Steve: (quietly)
Don't do this.
Jon:
Don't do what? Read?
Steve:
I've had enough with this...Steve storms off angrily. (but he doesn't - at
least I think he didn't)
Jon:
Turn to camera three. Steve Carell, laides and gentelmen.
